This year's non-golf adventure is on THURSDAY AFTERNOON of the Annual Meeting, and we’ll be kayaking to the Gulf on the Cocohatchee River. This is a beautiful Gulf Coast waterway, far more interesting than the open-water paddle that a few of you might remember if you were in Bonita Springs in 2004.

The outfitter, AWE (All Water Excursions), is fifteen minutes down the road from the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point, our annual meeting location. The official part of the trip is two hours, including some basic instruction before getting on the water with the guides.

The trip is an amazing deal: $43 per person, not including a credit card fee and tips for the guides – suggested $10/kayaker.  For those who would like an extra hour out on the water, the extra hour is an additional $10. The distance from the hotel is short enough that paddling for that additional hour should be possible without making us late for the evening’s events. Wetsuit rental is . . . just kidding, the water is warm.  Also, we’ll be able to beach the kayaks on the Gulf Coast and get sand on our feet. Fees are paid directly to AWE (not PIABA).
