Mr. Buchwalter has been representing investors in securities disputes since 1994. Since that time, Mr. Buchwalter has represented hundreds of clients and has taken over 50 cases, through hearing.
In 2000, Mr. Buchwalter was asked and testified as an expert for the United States Senate (Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations) on brokerage firm practices in relation to day trading.
In 2009, Mr. Buchwalter, along with PIABA member Scot Bernstein, received what is believed to be one of the largest arbitration awards in history, 4.9 Billion in an employment dispute in a JAMS arbitration.
Mr. Buchwalter has previously spoken at PIABA meetings on confirming and vacating arbitration awards and has represented clients in several published judicial opinions on that subject.
Mr. Buchwalter is active in PIABA and currently serves on its Amicus committee.
